I have been gaming since my dad brought home our first used pong system when I was a small child.  This eventually grew into a love a PC games.  I learned the ins and outs of DOS just to play Wing Commander on my crappy EGA monitor.  Eventually I saved up enough money, with my sister, to go halves with my parents on an Original NES console with DuckHunt and Super Mario Bros.  Every console I have owned is tucked away in a nice box in my parents basement.  One day when I get out of my apt, I will build up a museum of sorts in my basement dedicated to the history of my passion.

PC gaming led to my career in becoming a PC tech, that eventually led to becoming a network tech.  The skills needed to tweak DOS and EMM just right, built me a skill set that became increasingly helpful as I grew, eventually learning to run IPX networks to play Doom and Warcraft expanded this skill set.  In high school and college I worked at an Electronics Boutique, when it was the old blue logo sign.  Eventually I got my chance to work at Midway Amusement Games and it was a dream come true.  While there I worked closely with game teams to ensure all their computing and network needs were met and built out the infrastructure to support it.  I even spent plenty of weekends at the office performing database maintenance on terabytes of code and art.  While there I even did some design work on the Slugfest series of games.   The year I landed that job, on my birthday this was the joke in The Far Side calendar.

farside-hopeful-parentsIt was there that I met my co-host on the site.  I worked at Midway for 6 and a half-years.  I ended up leaving shortly before the great fallout of Midway and all of its branches being gobbled up by various parent companies.  I must admit as hard as it was to work there and the stresses involved, I still miss it to this day.

I now get my fix here.  I play 360 regularly and buy almost all titles for 360, unless it is a PS3 exclusive or there is some compelling reason to buy it on PS3.  I still PC game, no where near as much, the curve has caught up to the PC.  However I still enjoy some FPS, RTS, and RPG titles on the PC.  I am a raid leader in World of Warcraft that has cleared all current content and awaits 3.3.  I will hardly ever talk about that here, because I write about it on judicar.com.   I am also anxiously awaiting Star Wars The Old Republic.
